Accessibility Statement
Last updated: May 2026
myexeced.ai is committed to accessibility and universal design. We believe executive learning should be available to everyone. We use WCAG 2.1 Level AA as our reference standard and are actively working toward conformance. We have not yet completed a formal third-party audit; the "Known Limitations" section below describes where we are still improving.
Our Approach
Accessibility is not an afterthought—it's built into our design process from the start. We follow universal design principles, which means creating experiences that work well for everyone, not just accommodations added later.
We welcome feedback from users about their experience and use it to continuously improve our platforms.
Participant-Facing Features
Our learning platform includes the following accessibility features:
- Voice Input: Speak your messages instead of typing. Click the microphone button to start recording; recording stops automatically when you pause.
- Voice Output: Have responses read aloud with text-to-speech, with adjustable voice and speed settings. Press Escape to stop playback.
- Voice Commands: During voice input, say "stop" to end playback or conversation mode, "read that" to hear the last response again, or "undo" to cancel your last sent message.
- Screen Reader Support: Semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and live (aria-live) status announcements keep screen reader users informed of actions and status changes.
- Keyboard Support: Interactive controls are reachable by keyboard, with Escape to dismiss menus and stop playback. (Full keyboard-only operation is an area we are still verifying — see Known Limitations.)
- Readable Text: We aim for high-contrast color, readable font sizes, and generous line spacing throughout.
- No Time Limits: Sessions don't expire during active use. Take the time you need.
Administrative Features
Our staff and faculty tools are built with accessibility in mind. We design toward:
- Semantic Structure: Heading hierarchy and landmark regions for navigation.
- Form Accessibility: Visible labels and clear error messages on form fields.
- Data Tables: Proper table headers for assistive-technology navigation.
- Color Independence: Avoiding conveying information by color alone—using text labels and icons for redundancy.
These are design goals for the admin tools; they have not yet been independently audited.
Ongoing Improvement
Accessibility is a journey, not a destination. Our roadmap includes:
- An initial formal accessibility audit against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria, followed by regular re-audits
- Testing with assistive technologies, not just automated tools
- Incorporating user feedback into our development priorities
- Training our team on accessibility best practices
- Responsive design for mobile and tablet devices
Known Limitations
We're transparent about areas where we're still improving:
- We have not yet completed a formal third-party WCAG 2.1 AA audit. Our conformance claims are based on internal review and design intent, not certified testing.
- Full keyboard-only operation and end-to-end screen-reader testing across every workflow are still being verified.
- Mobile and tablet responsiveness is still in development—desktop browsers currently provide the best experience.
- Some third-party embedded content (videos, external documents) may have varying accessibility levels.
- Older PDF documents may not be fully screen-reader compatible—we're working to remediate these.
