Privacy isn't a feature—it's foundational. Executive learners share sensitive information with their AI coach: career challenges, difficult relationships, personal doubts. That trust must be earned through deliberate design, not just policy language.
Our Privacy Philosophy
We built myexeced.ai with what we call the Privacy Membrane—a layered architecture that creates clear boundaries between different types of information and different levels of access. Privacy is enforced structurally, not just procedurally.
We believe you should know exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and who can see it. No surprises. No fine print that contradicts the headlines.
The Privacy Membrane
Your data exists in distinct layers with explicit boundaries:
Layer 1: Strictly Private
Your coaching conversations are never visible to other participants—period. Personal challenges, vulnerabilities, and feedback about colleagues stay between you and your AI coach.
Layer 2: Shared by Choice
Peer matching and shared insights happen only with your explicit consent. You control what appears in your profile and whether you want to connect with others.
Layer 3: Aggregate & Anonymized
Faculty and program staff see patterns, not individuals. Themes are extracted without attribution, and minimum group sizes prevent inference about specific people.
Layer 4: Administrative
Staff see enrollment and engagement metrics scoped to their assigned programs. All administrative access is logged with complete audit trails.

What We Do With Your Data
We Do
- Personalize your coaching: Your context makes the AI coach effective—it remembers your goals, follows up on commitments, and connects content to your situation.
- Generate your Learning Playbook: At the end of your program, we synthesize your journey into a personalized document that's yours to keep.
- Provide aggregate insights to faculty: Program directors see themes and patterns (never individual conversations) to improve teaching.
- Send you relevant notifications: Reminders about commitments, assignment deadlines, and program updates you've opted into.
- Improve our platform: We analyze usage patterns (in aggregate) to make the product better for everyone.
We Don't
- Sell your data: Never. To anyone. For any reason.
- Train AI models on your conversations: Your coaching sessions are not used to train underlying AI models.
- Share individual conversations with employers: If your company sponsors the program, they see participation metrics, not what you discussed.
- Show your private coaching to other participants: The Privacy Membrane ensures structural separation.
- Keep data indefinitely: We have retention policies, and you can request deletion.
Your conversations don't train AI models. We use commercial AI APIs (like Anthropic's Claude) that don't retain or learn from individual conversations. What you share stays in your coaching context—it doesn't become part of a broader model.
How We Protect Your Data
Technical Safeguards
- Encryption in transit: All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.
- Encryption at rest: Databases are encrypted using industry-standard methods.
- Secure authentication: One-time codes instead of passwords—more secure, nothing to steal or reuse.
- Session management: Automatic timeouts and secure session handling.
- Row-level security: Database policies ensure you only see data you're authorized to access.
Operational Safeguards
- Role-based access: Staff only see data relevant to their assigned programs.
- Audit logging: All administrative access is logged and reviewable.
- Minimum thresholds: Aggregate analytics require minimum group sizes to prevent inference.
- Access revocation: When someone leaves a program or organization, access is removed promptly.
Your Rights and Choices
- Access: Request a copy of the data we have about you.
- Correction: Update inaccurate information in your profile.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data (subject to program requirements and legal obligations).
- Portability: Export your Learning Playbook and coaching history.
- Opt-out: Control notification preferences and peer matching visibility.

Data Retention
We retain your data for the duration of your program plus a reasonable alumni period (typically 2–3 years) so you can return to your Learning Playbook and coaching history. After that, data is anonymized or deleted unless you request otherwise.
You can request earlier deletion at any time, though this may limit your ability to access your learning history.
Third Parties
We use a limited number of service providers to operate the platform:
- Cloud infrastructure: For hosting and database services
- AI processing: Commercial API providers (e.g., Anthropic) for the coaching AI
- Email delivery: For notifications and program communications
All third parties are bound by data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
International Data
Our services are hosted in the United States. If you access the platform from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. For enterprise deployments, we can discuss data residency requirements.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our practices evolve. Significant changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. The "last updated" date at the top indicates when this policy was last revised.
